Prepare to feast like Middle Eastern nobility at this Levantine haven…
For those of you looking for the true taste of Levantine and North African cuisine, Al Maeda restaurant is the place to head to. Located on the sea-facing side of the bustling Jumeirah Beach Road on the first floor of Double Tree by Hilton Dubai, Al Maeda provides scenic views of the vast, blue sea (and an impending view of the Dubai Eye, that should be completed in the coming months in JBR) from its balcony. While the vibe at the eatery is upscale and posh, you won’t feel out of place with your family.
This Ramadan, Chef Lawrence Al Najjad – sous chef at Al Maeda restaurant – has crafted a special Iftar dinner buffet heaving with his signature dishes, including a traditional Moroccan tagine, a delicious lentil soup and, for dessert, scrumptious Um Ali, cheese kunafa and qatayef, among an array of other sweet treats. The Iftar buffet stretches out across three long tables – one for salad, another for mains and a third for dessert. For the holy month of Ramadan, refreshing drinks will be served with Iftar meals, with Moroccan tea being available on request. Other highlights of the a la carte buffet include Arabic mixed grill and roasted steak served with steamed veggies and mushroom sauce.
During Ramadan, guests can relish in more than just their dinner with eye candy in the form of art created by Emirati artist Ahmed Al Muhairi. His pieces will be showcased throughout the holy month. For every AED100 spent, guests can also participate in a raffle draw to win a dhow cruise for two in Musandam.
Al Maeda is the perfect place to dine, hang out and just relax with friends and family. With its cooking station, live performances and board games, TV screens and fabulous views, it’s likely you’ll find yourself coming back again and again. I know I’ll be back…
Al Maeda’s Iftar dinner buffet will take place from 7pm–9pm throughout Ramadan and will cost AED139 per person (inclusive of Ramadan drinks). Special Iftar group rates are also available.
